One of the Considerations of Rabbit Breeding – Environmental Selection

A good environment can lead to a good life

1. Rabbit farm site selection The location of the rabbit farm is particularly important. Large-scale rabbit farms require leeward, sunny, high dryness, ventilation and
Convenient drainage.

2. Cage environment The ground and sports field in the rabbit house should be hardened with cement, and the breeding method should be caged. Rabbits like dryness and do not like humidity. The humidity is generally controlled at 40%~70%, 60% is the best, with proper air circulation. If the environment in the house is maintained well, the rabbits can breed normally throughout the year.

3. Cage selection Some farmers often buy what kind of cage is cheap. In fact, this is a waste of their own money. Cages of poor quality will break down after a short period of time and need to be bought again. From an economic point of view, the cost of buying two cages will generally exceed the cost of buying a good cage. Buy useful ones instead of cheap ones. According to the purpose, rabbit cages are generally divided into three types: breeding cages, young rabbit cages, and fattening cages. The rabbit cages are not suitable. The young rabbits will easily escape from the gaps or feeding slots of the cages, causing mixed nests or death.

4. The warmth, ventilation, size, and shape of the delivery box in other environments in the cage, the bedding in the delivery box and the placement of the delivery box, etc., all have a greater impact on the survival rate and development of the young rabbits. If the delivery box is unqualified, the young rabbits are likely to catch a cold or “steam the nest” and die; if the feed trough is unqualified, it is easy to cause scraping, turning, and fecal pollution. Yes, but the female rabbit can’t. It is a waste of time and a waste of food to be added multiple times a day. A water bottle that is not qualified will cause water pollution, and it is inconvenient for the rabbit to drink or not drink enough water. The gaps in the bottom of the cage are too dense, and feces accumulate in the cage. It is easy to be infected with coccidia, nematodes and other parasitic diseases, and foot dermatitis.
Causes continuous diarrhea; if the gap is too thin, it is easy to cause rabbit fractures, etc.
