Cage is the main equipment for modern chicken raising, different cage equipment is suitable for different flocks
1. Chicken cage equipment can be divided into: full ladder type, half ladder type, laminated type, compound type and horizontal type according to the combination form;
2. According to the geometric size, it can be divided into: deep cage and shallow cage;
3. According to the type of chicken, it is divided into: layer cage, broiler cage and breeder cage;
4. According to the weight of the chicken, it is divided into: light layer cage, medium layer cage and broiler breeder cage.

(1) Full-step chicken cage
The full-step chicken cage has 2~3 layers, and its advantages are: ①The open area of ​​each cage is large and well ventilated, and the light is uniform; ②The manure cleaning operation is relatively simple; ③The structure is relatively simple and easy to maintain; ④It is convenient for machine failure or power outage Manual operation. The disadvantage is: the stocking density is low.

(2) Half-step chicken cage
In order to further increase the stocking density, on the basis of the full-step cage, the part between the upper and lower layers is heavy to form a half-step chicken cage. Its feeding density is higher than that of the full ladder, which can generally be increased by about 30%, but it is lower than that of the stacked type. Compared with the full-step chicken cage, due to the obstruction of the manure baffle, the ventilation effect is poor, but the operation is more convenient and easy to observe the status of the chicken flock.

(3) Laminated chicken cage
The upper and lower layers of the semi-step chicken cage are completely overlapped, forming a stacked chicken cage with a conveyor belt between the layers to remove the chicken manure. The advantages are: the high density of the chicken farm greatly reduces the floor space of the farm, which improves the production efficiency of the breeders; but the requirements for the chicken house construction, ventilation equipment and manure removal equipment are higher.

(4) Breeding chicken cage
There are single-layer chicken cages and artificial insemination breeding chicken cages. Different from general chicken cages, in order to ensure the normal mating or artificial insemination of male and female chickens, attention should be paid to: ①The size of the single cage and the diameter of the mesh wire of the cage should be adapted to the characteristics of the large weight of the breeders; ②Generally, each cage Only 2 hens are raised in a single cage; ③The cage door structure should be convenient for catching chickens for artificial insemination.

(5) Breeding chicken coop
In order to improve the survival rate and uniformity of the breeding chickens, increase the feeding density and facilitate management, the breeding chicken cages are widely used. Generally, the breeding chicken cage is 3~4 layers and 6~8 single cages.

(6) brooding into a one-stage chicken coop
This cage is commonly used in areas where laying hens are raised in two stages. The feature of the chicken cage is that the chickens can be raised from 1 day of age to before laying eggs (about 100 days of age), reducing the stress and labor intensity of the chickens when transferring groups. The chicken coop is three-layered, and only the middle layer is used in the chick stage, which is gradually dispersed to the upper and lower layers as the chicken grows up.
